Mixing test using a twin-screw extruder.

Experiments on polymer blending and alloying will be conducted using a twin-screw extruder.

Co-rotating twin-screw extruder The screw shape can be changed by rearranging the segmented mixing elements. 1. By changing the screw configuration, it can accommodate various compounds. 2. The screw rotation speed can be set from 50 to 400 rpm, allowing for a wide range of variability in shear rate and surface renewal. 3. With a discharge capacity of 5 to 100 kg/h (for materials like PE), it can handle everything from small-scale formulation studies to large-scale prototypes. 4. The high-performance vacuum degassing system can remove volatile components and oligomers. Additionally, it is possible to perform "degassing extrusion" of polyester materials (such as PET, PBT, PC, etc.) without pre-drying, depending on the conditions.

Mixing test using a small two-axis mixing extruder.

We will conduct a small-scale mixing test of 1 to 5 kg. The dead space within the equipment is small, allowing for tests with minimal loss.

This is a kneading test service using a φ25 small-sized co-rotating twin-screw extruder. It allows for kneading tests on a small scale of about 1 kg, so valuable materials are not wasted. Of course, even though it is small, it is fully equipped, allowing for the flexible setting of kneading conditions (screw element design) characteristic of co-rotating twin screws, as well as multi-stage settings for venting and split feeding. Based on the test results obtained, it is also possible to scale up to larger machines. Additionally, leveraging our past experience, we can propose the optimal experimental plan tailored to your objectives.

Twin-screw extruder [TEX] series

A high-end twin-screw extruder equipped with infinite possibilities for various fields.

The twin-screw extruder used to enhance the added value of plastic raw materials is called a compounding extruder. Our company manufactures the "TEX" series of twin-screw extruders to meet high-performance and high-quality demands. TEX is used not only for traditional inorganic fillers, masterbatch compounds, polymer alloys, and GF/CF compounds, but also for a wide range of applications such as reactions, degassing, dehydration, biomass compounds, long fiber compounding, and supercritical carbon dioxide compounding. By incorporating JSW's unique technologies that dramatically improve compounding performance (compounding screws, compounding cylinders, high-distribution compounding screws) and new solutions for increasing discharge capacity (Side Feed Deaerator), we guide our customers into new realms that were unattainable with conventional machines.

Two-axis kneading extruder "TEX" for bridge cutting.

Continuous production of high-quality recycled products is possible! Introducing the recycling technology by 'TEX'.

We have developed a recycling technology for cross-linked plastics and cross-linked rubber, which previously had no treatment methods other than energy recovery through incineration or landfill, using "TEX." By equipping the system with a screen changer at the front, we can filter out debris that mixes with the crushed material. Additionally, the filter can be easily replaced during operation, allowing for continuous operation. This technology effectively performs cross-link cutting of cross-linked plastics such as wire insulation materials and cross-linked rubber (tires, weather strips, etc.). 【Features】 - Effectively performs cross-link cutting of cross-linked plastics such as wire insulation materials. - Effectively performs cross-link cutting of cross-linked rubber (tires, weather strips, etc.). - Enables continuous production of high-quality recycled products. - Allows for stable extrusion by precisely controlling the resin temperature, which is crucial for cross-link cutting. - All by-products can be collected through venting or slitting. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Method for Manufacturing Insulation Material for High Voltage Transmission Cables

Efficiency improvement in the production process and enhancement of the working environment! Introducing the manufacturing method for insulation materials for high-voltage power transmission cables.

Typically, power transmission cables are insulated with super clean cross-linked polyethylene around the conductor, but in ultra-high voltage transmission (about 500,000 volts), charge concentration occurs in the insulating part, leading to the problem of cable failure during transmission. To prevent this, a semiconductive material that slightly discharges electricity inside and outside the insulator is used as a cushioning layer. This document introduces a technology for continuous mixing of the semiconductive layer using a biaxial kneading extruder. [Contents] ■ Featured Technology - Adoption of a special kneading cylinder NIC - Optimization of chip clearance for the kneading screw - Control of cylinder temperature - Self-cleaning properties *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
